Day 01: Arrival at Cochin
Upon arrival at Cochin airport, our representative will meet you and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at hotel inCochin.
Day 02 : Cochin - Munnar
After breakfast you will be driven to the beautiful hill station of Munnar, which is known for beautiful tea-growing estates, plantations and greenery. Upon arrival you will check-in at the hotel and spend rest of the time relaxing. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 3 : Munnar
Breakfast follows a full day at leisure that you can use to explore the surrounding areas on your own. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 04 : Munnar - Periyar
In the morning we will drive you to Periyar( 90 km). Periyar is a well known wildlife sanctuary.Uponarrival at Periyar you will check-in at the hotel. Periyar sprawls over 777 sq. km of land in the Cardamom Hills of the Western Ghats, It is the home to one of the largest wildlife reserves in India. The wildlife sanctuary is alive with exotic flora and lively wildlife. In the afternoon you will be at leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel/resort.
Day 05 : Periyar - Kumarakom
Early morning we will take you for a boat cruise on the Periyar Lake situated in the Periyar wildlife sanctuary. Periyar is an artificial lake or reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River and is situated in the heart of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. You can spot wild elephants, Asiatic Deer, Black Buck and even Tigers who come to the lake to drink water. After the cruise you will return to hotel for breakfast.
Later you will be driven to Kumarakom through the winding "Ghats" that are lined with tea plantations and fascinating countryside with low-lying palms and paddy fields. Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater destination in Kerala. It is situated on the captivating Vembanad Lake. Upon reaching Kumarakom you will check in at the resort/hotel and spend the rest of time at leisure. Overnight stay will be at hotel/ resort.
Day 06 : Kumarakom - Houseboat
After breakfast you will have rest of the time in the morning at leisure. In the afternoon you will board the traditional rice boats known as "Ketuvallam" and begin your journey through the placid Kerala backwaters. You will get to know the way of life and activity of the local people in this part of India. You will be served with traditional Kerala food as you cruise through the Kerala backwaters. Overnight will be on board the houseboat.
Day 07 : Houseboat - Poovar
You will wake up to the sound of backwaters and served with sumptuous breakfast on board. Thereafter you will set sail to Alleppey, another beautiful backwater destination in Kerala. You will later disembark at the Puthenagady Jetty and drive onto Poovar.
Poovar Island is a beautiful resort encircled by the tranquil Kerala backwaters. Poovar truly presents a window into paradise. The tranquility is often disturbed by the sound of waves and the birds. The region around Poovar is abundant in flora, with several species of spices, exotic flowers, banana and coconut groves. Upon arrival at Poovar you check-in at a resort. You will spend the rest of the time at leisure. Overnight stay will be at resort in Poovar.
Day 08 : Poovar
Breakfast follows a full day at leisure wherein you can pursue your own activities and stroll around the place to explore the beautiful surroundings. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 09 : Poovar - Trivandrum Departure
It is time to say good bye to Kerala as you come to the end of the Kerala houseboat tour. After breakfast in the morning our representative will transfer you to Trivandrum for flight back home.
